ApplicationEPI NEMA Type 4x Double Door Free Standing Stainless Steel Enclosures are designed to house electrical controls, terminals, and instruments in areas, which may be regularly hosed down or are used in areas where serious corrosion problems exist. | ConstructionMade from 14, 12, and 10 gauge stainless steel (Type 304 2B) and have strong and rigid construction. All seams are continuously welded. There are no holes or knockouts. A lip is provided on all three sides of the door, preventing dirt and liquid from dropping into the enclosure. Stainless steel door clamps are provided on three sides of each door to insure a watertight seal with oil-resistant gaskets. A heavy gauge stainless steel continuous hinge supports each door. A center post is installed for in-creased rigidity. A hasp and staple are provided on each door for padlocking. Mounting brackets are provided for optional mounting panel, otherwise not installed.FinishThese enclosures are unpainted. Door fronts are ground smooth. Optional 316 2B Stainless Steel is available.AccessoriesPanels must be ordered separately as they are not provided with the enclosures. Panels maybe aluminum, galvanized, pained and stainless steel.StandardsMeets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 4 (Water Tight and Dust Tight), Type 4x (Water Tight, Dust Tight, and Corrosion Resistant), Type 3 (Dust Tight, Rain Tight, and Sleet-Ice Resistant), Type 12 (Oil Tight and Dust Tight), and Type 13 (Industrial Use) enclosures.
