ApplicationEPI NEMA Type 12 Wall Mount Enclosures are designed to house electrical controls, terminals, and instruments. They provide protection from dust, dirt, oil, and water. |
| ConstructionMade from 14, 12, or 10 gauge steel. All seams are continuously welded. There are no holes or knockouts. There is a lip on three sides of the door to prevent dust and liquids from droping inside of the enclosure. The neoprene door gasket is attached with oil-resistant adhesive. A heavy guage continuous steel hinge, with stainless steel pin, supports the door. The stainless steel door clamps are quick and easy to operate and have no loose parts. A hasp and staple are provided for padlocking. Body stiffeners and door stiffeners are provided in larger enclosures for extra rigidity. External feet are furnished for mounting. Mounting brackets are provided for optional mounting panel, otherwise not installed.FinishThe standard finish is ANSI-70 light dove gray, inside and out. Panels are same.AccessoriesPanels must be ordered separately, as they are not furnished with the enclosures. Floor stand kits in 6, 12, 18, and 24 inch heights are available for factory installation on all single door NEMA 12 enclosures. Drip shield kits protect the door and the door hardware from dripping water and settling dust.StandardsMeets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 12 (Industrial Use) enclosures. Also conforms to Joint Industrial Council (JIC) standard EGP-1-1967 and UL50.
