ApplicationEPI NEMA Type 12 Double Door Free Standing Enclosures are designed to house electrical controls, terminals, and instruments. They provide protection from dust, oil, and water. Enclosures are extra deep for applications where added interior space is needed. |
| ConstructionMade from 14, 12, or 10 gauge steel. All seams are continuously welded and there are no holes or knockouts. The neoprene door gaskets are attached with oil-resistant adhesive. These enclosures have uniquely gasketed, overlapping doors which eliminate the need for a center post. A 3-point latching mechanism, operated by an oil tight locking handle, holds the doors securely closed. Heavy gauge continuous hinges support each door. Each enclosures has body stiffeners and panel supports can be provided to support panel and aid in panel installation.FinishThe standard finish is ANSI-70 light dove gray inside and out. Panels are the same.AccessoriesPanels must be ordered separately, as they are not provided with the enclosures. Regular panels, side panels, and panel supports are available. Floor stand kits are available for factory installation on enclosures.
