ApplicationEPI NEMA Type 12 JIC, Galvanized Screw Cover Enclosures are designed for use as instrument housing, electrical control enclosures, terminal wiring boxes, and electrical junction boxes. They provide protection against very wet corrosive environments that are not hosed down, but have high moisture conditions such as coastal conditions. |
| ConstructionMade from 16 and 14 gauge G-90, hot dipped galvanized steel sheets. All seams are continuously welded and there are no holes or knockouts. The covers are attached with stainless steel self captivating screws. Covers are gasketed with a neoprene gasket attached with an oil-resistant adhesive. External feet are furnished for mounting. Interior mounting brackets are provided for optional mounting panel, otherwise not installed. Panels must be ordered separately as they are not furnished with the enclosures.FinishThe standard finish is G-90, hot dipped galva-nized steel sheet.StandardsMeets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 12 (Industrial Use) enclosures.
