ApplicationEPI NEMA Type 1 Screw Cover and Hinge Cover Wireways are designed to house electrical wiring in installations where dirt, oil, and water are not serious problems. All sections and fittings can be laid in along an entire wireway run. A complete selection of sections and fittings is available. |
| ConstructionThe 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 sizes are available with or without knockouts. The 8 x 8, 10 x 10, and 12 x 12 sizes are only available without knockouts. The screw cover wireway comes with a single full size cover fastened with screws. The hinge cover wireway is provided with continuous sections of hinge at proper intervals. Covers can be rapidly opened or closed, and are firmly held shut with screws. Wireway covers and bodies are fabricated from 18, 16, and 14 gauge steel and galvanized steel.FinishThe standard finish is G90 galvanized steel. A painted ANSI-70 light dove gray enamel finish is also available.StandardsMeets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 1 (General Purpose) enclosures. |
