NEMA 3r Secondary Bus Wireway

Application

EPI Secondary Bus Wireways are designed to allow distribution of large amounts of low voltage power. Ampacity ranges from the minimum of 600 to several thousand amperes at 600 volts and below, available in single or three phase.

Construction

Made from 12 gauge steel. A drip shield top and smooth seam-free sides, front and back prevent falling rain, snow or sleet from entering the enclosure. Single and double door construction. Doors are equipped with a handle for lifting and padlocking provisions. Bus is stair-stepped and is arranged for entry on top or bottom. CD102 Copper is used and bus bars are sized according to one square inch of copper bus per 1000 amperes. Bus bars are insulated with 600 volt standoff insulators. Bars are punched with 9/16” holes at 1 ¾ each way to accommodate lugs.

Finish

The standard finish is ANSI-70 light dove gray enamel, inside and out.

Accessories

CD102 Copper is used and bus bars are sized according to one square inch of copper bus per 1000 amperes. Bus bars are insulated with 3 hi-600 volt standoff insulators. Bars may be punched with 9/16 holes at 1¾ each way to accommodate lugs.

Standards

Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 3r (Rainproof and Sleet-Ice Resistant) enclosures.
